Childrens Xmas party at La Cimade in Beziers.
On Monday 19 th December we held our first Childrens party at La Cimade since Covid. We provided 61 present bags for the resident kids as well as a slap up feed, face painting and a Disco.
Huge thanks to all of you who donated to fund this party and to Bassie and her amazing team of elves, Nicole, Justine, Lesley, Pauline, Sharon, Domi and Jean Yves.
Not forgetting the refugee families who prepared all the food for the party too.
Thank you everyone who came to the Concert at Cassan
on 3 rd December. It was a truly memorable evening. We raised lots of money and collected a
lot of blankets and food. Thanks to everyone involved and of course O Sisters for their marvellous singing. Roll on next year!
This weekend at the Cracker Fair at Valmagne 3 of our volunteers will be doing face painting for kids.
You will also be able to learn a little more about LSR and what we do as well as buy tickets for the upcoming Christmas Concert.
This is always a brilliant event so come along and say hi!
Please join O Sisters for a magical evening of Christmas music and Carols at the historic Château de Cassan …
Mulled wine and nibbles are Included in the €10 concert ticket price and please bring your best singing voices with you as we encourage you to join in with some of the carols. There will also be a raffle drawn on the night.
As always all profits from this event will go directly to support our work helping refugees in the Languedoc and beyond.

Fundraising dinner
Dinner organised by Languedoc Solidarity with the Refugees to help fund the aid that LSR has been providing regularly since 2015 to around 30 refugee families living in the Carcassonne area.

LSR hosted its Summer Guinguette on 12 July
2022 at Mas Gabriel in Caux. We had a brilliant evening of fine wine
from Mas Gabriel, jazz from the Orchestre Mas G and vegetarian world
cuisine prepared by L'atelier de la Cimade prepared by the people your
donations help us support.
We raised over €1250 as well as supporting L'Atelier in their new venture. We hope to hold similar events soon so please watch this space!
Pique-nique solidaire
The idea was to bring together refugee families, Cimade Carcassonne volunteers and LSR Aude-Minervois volunteers around a festive and friendly event.
The picnic organized in Carcassonne by the LSR Limoux group was an exceptional moment, very pleasant, festive and warm. Seeing all these faces light up for a few hours was good for the heart.
