On 7th December at 18h30, O Sisters will be presenting a selection of carols and seasonal choral songs in the wonderful setting of the Abbaye de Cassan. interactive quiz! Teams of 6 will be put through their paces with rounds
on music, general knowledge, surprise themes and more! Great prizes to

Questions are in French and English – so you will need to put
your heads together with your French or Anglophone chums to create a
winning team! Of course if you don’t have a team, the LSR matchmakers
will find one for you on the night

On Saturday October 19th at 7pm, the local LSR group in Olonzac, with the support of the VEEM association (Vivre Ensemble en Minervois), is once again organizing a festive musical evening at the Salle des Fêtes in Siran (34210), opposite the town hall.
25€ per person for the evening, including a dish and a glass of wine.

On 29th June 2024 at Château St Jacques d’Albas in Laure Minervois will take place a summer fund raising dinner presented by A Taste of Caunes for Languedoc Solidarity with the Refugees.

The evening will commence at 18h with apéros and canapés on the terrace, while we are entertained by the renowned recital pianist, Duncan Williams, Lecturer of Opera with the Royal Conservatoire Scotland. This will be followed by a sumptuous 4 course meal prepared by chef Linda of La Table d’Emile. A selection of wines from Château St Jaques D’Albas will be on sale, as well as non-alcoholic alternatives. We will be running our usual raffle, with some excellent prizes and we will be having an auction of promises. This year all the auction prizes are unique experiences.
Sunday May 19, Pezenas. Please join us for an afternoon of jazz and swing at the beautiful Seigneurie de Peyrat near Pezenas. We have a great line up of musicians as well as gorgeous wine and a selection of food provided by Ken & Alison Catering.
Tickets are 15€ (children under 12 go free) and include a delicious glass of wine from the Estate. As always all profits from this event will go directly to support our work helping refugees in the Languedoc and beyond.

LSR Minervois, Saturday 18 November, Soirée d'Automne !
Come and enjoy a relaxed evening of music and dancing to the sounds of the sounds of the Bon ‘Z’ Enfants and La Petite Ciguë in support of Languedoc Solidarité avec les Réfugiés. Both groups play a mix of music in French and English ranging from jazz to rock. Complete the autumn evening with a bowl of chilli and a glass of wine. All proceeds from the evening support Languedoc Solidarité avec les Réfugiés.
The Bon'Z'Enfants group was created in 2006 by a group of amateur musicians from Ornaisons, joined by musicians from neighbouring villages, most of them students at the Lézignan conservatoire. Above all, it's a group of friends with a passion for music who enjoy sharing their passion. Their rock and jazzy repertoire is made up of French and Anglo-Saxon varieties.
La Petite Ciguë is a trio of double bass, guitar, and a singer from Montpellier. Their repertoire is a mix of French and English songs.

Apéro 7 pm - programme starts at 7.30 pm.

LSR art auction 30 September 2023
ART AUCTION !
Thanks to the generosity of artists in Caunes-Minervois and elsewhere we are able to present an art auction in support of Languedoc Solidarité avec les Réfugiés (LSR) .
Throughout the year our group of LSR volunteers in Caunes-Minervois, Olonzac and the Haute Vallée de l’Aude and thanks to the support of our donors support 33 refugee families in Carcassonne with food, school supplies and other essential needs.
During our Taste of Caunes fundraising dinner on 30th September we will be holding a sealed bid art auction. The auction catalogue is available here. You may bid in one of two ways as the instructions below. You may make more than one bid and we will ask you to honour just one of your bids (minimum).
If you are coming to the dinner on 30th September you will be able to view the artworks and make a sealed bid on the night. If your bid is successful, if possible we will ask you to pay either in cash or by a cheque payable to LSR. Your artwork will be wrapped for you to take away on the night.

LSR groups of volunteers around Carcassonne have been making monthly food deliveries to
help refugees who have no means of support for food. This year again, the LSR volunteers in Caunes Minervois are organising a very appreciated and enjoyable social event that includes a dinner, an Art Auction, a raffle and live music.

September 12th 2023, a magical musical evening “Sous les Etoiles” at the historic Chateau Du Parc near Pezenas.
Your ticket includes a gourmet picnic (Classique and Végétal options available) along with a glass of wine. The venue has tables and benches – we can reserve table for bookings of 6 people). There will also be a bar throughout the evening.

We are collecting for the children at La Cimade in Béziers who are going back to school next month.
As you know there are few worse thing for a child than not having the same equipment they need to study as their class mates be it books, bags, pens or protractors we are aiming to give each child what they need.
We are trying to raise 630€ which is 50€ for each secondary child and 20€ for each primary pupil. They are small sums but will really give the kids a confidence boost at the start of a new school year.
